Jajuan Hubert Latham born March 3, 2004, tragically departed this life on April 16, 2016. Jajuan was a 6th grade student at Bearden Middle School. He loved basketball and was a player in the AAU League.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: loving mother, Dalandra Porter (Deon Clark); devoted father, Hubert Latham, III; sisters, Lakeena Porter, Rejanae Porter and Akeyra Franklin; grandmother, Sandy Porter (Rodney Thomas); grandfathers, Hubert Latham, II and Alvin Hardin; great-grandmothers, Jacqualine Porter and Annette Hardin; nephew, Ja'Moni Prigmore; uncles, DeJuan Porter, Jerome Dobbins, Travis Latham, Anthony Williams, Anthony Montgomery, Zaccheus Ligon and Dearius Goins; aunts, DeJahnette Parton, Tynesha Bargar and Crystal Williams; special cousins, Verlin, Vershaun and Vernon Cash; best friends, Christopher Cherry, Jr. and Condis Cherry; and many other family, friends and love ones too numerous to name.
Thursday evening, April 21, 2016, the family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with funeral to follow at Overcoming Believers Church at 211 Harriet Tubman St., Knoxville, TN 37915. Pastor Daryl Arnold officiating. Interment will be Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at New Gray Cemetery on Western Avenue where a white dove release will conclude the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday morning. Donations are accepted and appreciated at www.GoFundMe.com "In Memory of Jajuan Latham." Through all that hurt and pain just know that you have gained another angel to watch over your whole family for an eternity. I'll continue to pray for you all with my deepest condolences. JuJuan was a very sweet, fun to be around kid, that I enjoyed having in my 2nd Grade class. I am so sorry for your loss and it saddens me to no end to know that he is no longer here! Our family is truly devastated by this tragedy. Jajuan would come over and play basketball with my son all the time in our driveway and they became good friends over the last couple of years. We always looked forward to seeing him show up to play. Great kid with a great heart. We are deeply saddened and offer our sincerest condolences.
