DAVIS, BLANCHE - age 76 of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, August 6, 2012. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton. In her earlier years Blanche enjoyed doing needlepoint, painting and restoring antiques. Her most recent hobbies included keeping up with her politics, watching the Lady Vols and the NBA (Miami Heat) and reading. She enjoyed spending time in her flowers and working in her yard. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, James L. Davis and her parents, Ted and Louise Duncan Hankins. Survivors: son: Jim Davis and wife Tammy; daughter: Sherry Crowley and husband Denzil; sister: Shelia Stone and husband Bob; grandchildren: Scott, Stephanie and Logan Davis, Johnny Crowley, Michelle Wyrick and husband Andy; great grandchildren: Leia and Lauren Wyrick, Tyson Crowley. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to AFLAC Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, 1687 Tullie Circle NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 or , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 9th from 1:00-3:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be at 3 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
