MOORE, CLARENCE HOUSTON - age 83, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013. Born November 9, 1929, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later on retired from the City of Knoxville Fire Department after 36 years of service. He was also a member at Meridian Baptist Church for 55 years. Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Newman Moore; father, James Earl Moore; and step mother, Bess B. Moore. Survivors: children, Steve Moore and wife, Patricia, Debbie Longmire and husband, Danny, Tim Moore and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Randell Moore and wife, April, Chris Longmire, Billy Longmire and wife, Tina, Isaac and Meredith Moore; great grandchildren, Houston and Owen Moore, Vada and Ava Longmire; brother, Victor Moore and wife, Nancy; sister, Virginia Berkley and husband, Charles; cousin sister, Juanita Courtney; many other special cousins; nieces; and nephews that loved him.
