Daphna Belle Pass

PASS, DAPHNA BELLE (LACEY) - age 97 of Knoxville passed away Monday, January 10, 2011, at NHC Ft. Sanders. Daphna and Robert Pass owned and operated the Pass Five & Ten Store in Burlington, later known as Pass Clothing, for 50 years. Daphna and Robert were Charter Members of Chilhowee Baptist Church where Daphna taught Sunday School for many years. Daphna and Robert have freely given their time and energy to their church and to their community. She is preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Robert Pass; parents, Ellen and Perry Lacey; and sister, Mary Lee Lacey. Survivors include cousins, Donna and Phil Thompson of Naperville, IL, Nolan Duck of Rome, GA, Jeffrey and Leigh Duck of Rome, GA; nieces, Diannia Teague of Cartersville, GA, and Patricia Neal of White, GA; niece and nephew, Susan and John Green of Newman, GA; and special friends, Frances Ketner, Liz Sanders, Joan Cash, and Ray Hodges. A special thanks to the third floor staff at NHC Ft. Sanders in Knoxville. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Rome, GA for a graveside service and interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 4615 Asheville Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37914.
