THOMPSON, HELEN S. - 86, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Shannondale Nursing Home. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Linda Williams; son, Dr. David Thompson, and wife Angela of Daytona Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Shane Williams, Tara Ward; Megan Diamandi, Sarah Thompson and Christopher Thompson; and four great-grandchildren, Grace, Abby, Tony, and Grant. On Tuesday, December 4, 2012, the family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with funeral services to begin at 7:00 p.m. The family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 for graveside services at Highland Memorial on Sutherland Avenue. The service will conclude with a full white dove release. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church. However, flowers may also be sent to Unity Mortuary, 1425 McCalla Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37915 for Mrs. Thompson.
