CATE, HENRIETTA WHITTLE - age 103, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born March 22, 1909, in Maryville, Tennessee to Sam and Adria Whittle. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings; her husband, William Madison Cate; daughter, Barbara Cate Dickerson; and grandson, Matthew Hanson. In 1935 Henrietta married William Madison Cate and lived most of her life in Knoxville, TN, but resided at Emeritus Assisted Living in Kingsport for the last several years. She is survived by daughters Carolyn Cate Peters (Jon) of Kingsport, TN and Kathy Cate Hanson (Frank) of Georgetown, TX. She leaves five grandchildren, David Dickerson (Becky), Karen Dickerson Johnson (Tim), Steve Peters, Greg Peters (Jennifer), Emily Hanson Boyd (Matthew); seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, in the chapel of Rose Mortuary officiated by Pastor Steven Counts. Family and friends will gather at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, following the funeral service for an interment service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to
