OVERTON, JAMES ODIS (J.O.) - age 81 of Clinton, passed away December 18, 2012 at Golden Living Center-Windwood. He was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church. Odis was an avid farmer and enjoyed his time working on his farm. He also enjoyed his work as a machinist for over 37 years at Y-12 Plant until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Ewing. Survivors include: his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Wilson Overton; son, Michael Overton and wife Tammy; daughter, Vicky Kelley; brother, Johnny Ewing and wife Janet; sister, Bonnie Montgomery; grandchildren, Josh Kelley, Lucas, Jennifer, and Wesley Overton. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Golden Living Center staff for their 3 1/2 years of dedicated care. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20th at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, December 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
