Joe Woods

Pigeon Forge , TN

Joe Woods, age 91, of Pigeon Forge, passed away peacefully at University of Tennessee Medical Center Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Mr. Woods served as the Agriculture Extension Leader in Sevier County for 25 years before retiring in 1989. He then started working at Sevier Farmers Co-op in 1990, and continued working there until his death. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville where he taught a men's Sunday School class and was a lifetime deacon. Mr. Woods also served in the U.S. Army.

Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Woods, and daughters, Martha Dooley and Mary Ann Miller.

The family will receive friends 2-4 PM Saturday with a funeral service to follow at 4 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home Pastor Allen Johnson officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Shiloh Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com.
