Les Blair, 67, of Tellico Village, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2016, while visiting family in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He was born in Troy, PA on March 23, 1949, the second of 5 children, to the late Harry Lorton Blair and Hilda (Schrader) Blair. Les was a graduate of Troy High School, where he was an accomplished athlete, lettering in 4 sports. He graduated from Mansfield University with a BS in Education, and a minor in Business. While at Mansfield he was a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His career began as a middle school history teacher and basketball coach in upstate New York. After 8 years of teaching, he transitioned to the business world, where he enjoyed a long career in the financial services industry. He retired in spring 2013 as the Branch Manager and Vice President of United Community Bank in Tellico Village. Les was an avid golfer, basketball player, and pickleball player. He was a lifelong learner and fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved to travel, and had spent much time since his retirement traveling. He treasured the time spent with his family, particularly his grand nieces and grand nephews. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Tellico Village, where he served on the Finance Team and Building Team. He enjoyed his civic activities as a member of Tellico Lake Rotary Club and Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village.

Les was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by Karen Ousley, life partner; his brother, James Blair, of Loudon; his sisters, Susan Borek, of Columbia Crossroads, PA, Nancy Teribury (Earl), of Troy, PA, and Faye Blair, of Houston, TX; uncles, James Schrader, Thomas Jenkins; aunt, Joann Olmstead; nephews, Earl (Rachel) Teribury Jr., Kyle Borek, and Kane (Samantha) Borek, all of Troy, PA; nieces, Lindsay (Brett) Chesshir, of Broadway, VA and Elizabeth (John) Watson, of Houston, TX. Additionally, Les is also survived by 3 grandnieces, Delaney Borek, Hailee Chesshir and Blair Teribury,; and 7 grand nephews, Trevon Teribury, Eason Teribury, Pryor Teribury, Trey Teribury, Evan Chesshir, John Watson and Jude Watson.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, January 8th, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Tellico Village. Visitation with family will be prior to and after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Tellico Village building fund.
