HUFFAKER, WALTER D. (PETE) - of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. Pete was born April 25, 1930 in Sevier County. He graduated Sevier County High School and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mr. Huffaker was a veteran of the Korean War. He was founder and president of Ma-Tran Systems and a former member of the Ft. Loudon Yacht Club. Pete enjoyed golfing, boating, flying and car racing. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Hal and Wayne Huffaker; sister Dorothy Soward; and son Darrell Huffaker. Survivors include: wife of 30 years: Linda Huffaker; sons: Wesley and Keith Huffaker; step-sons: Robert (Becky) Morrison, Todd (Vanessa) Morrison; grandchildren: Jeremy Huffaker and wife Lori, Paige, Jonathon Huffaker and wife Jacque, Cassidy and Weston Huffaker; great-granddaughter: Nicole Huffaker; step-grandchildren: Tyler, Alexandria, Eric, Danielle and Sarah Morrison. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon Thursday with funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon at Kodak United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Marston and Rev. Ed Farmer officiating.
