HEDRICK, JOHN EDWARD - age 94, of Seymour, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Eusebia Presbyterian Church and retired from Alcoa Aluminum after 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Ed was born on the Hedrick Farm in Seymour where he bred Polled Hereford cattle for over 55 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 9th Armored Division during World War II and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. Preceded in death by brother, Robert "Bob" Hedrick; sister, Jean Hedrick Mosley. Survivors include wife of 65 years, Sue Ingram Hedrick; son and daughter-in-law, Lynn Edward and Sherry Hedrick; grandchildren, Aaron Hedrick and Meghan Hedrick all of Seymour; special friend, Al Leitch; special caregivers, Rose Webb and Lou Dempsey; special pet, Major; and many other family members. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Eusebia Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Dwyn Mounger officiating.
