COLE, RANDY MORRIS - age 66, of Jacksonville, Florida formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at his home on Monday, March 31, 2014 after courageously battling cancer. Randy had been an active member of the United Methodist Church, having attended Craft Memorial United Methodist, in Columbia, Tennessee, Cokesbury United Methodist Church, in Knoxville, and most recently Mandarin United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Randy had an everlasting love for his wife Judy; they met when they children, fell in love in their early teenage years, married when Randy was 18, and have been loving each other deeply ever since. After marrying Judy, Randy attended and then graduated from Memphis State University with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for 30 years at TVA in Kingston, Tennessee. He was an avid fan of the Big Orange and enjoyed reading, golfing, practical jokes, camping, family, and especially spoiling his nine grandchildren. Randy also especially enjoyed his time as a Stephen Minister at Mandarin UMC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Annie Cole. Randy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Cole; daughters, Christie Boruff and husband Jeff, of Knoxville, Stephanie Dunn and husband Mark, of Knoxville, Meagan Heineman and husband Craig, of Jacksonville, Florida, Meredith Barker and husband Stephen, of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Cole, Connor, and Caitlin Boruff, Devyn and Dylan Dunn, Elijah Heineman, Porter, Renee, and Lela Barker; sister, Sandra Pfieffer; nephews, Scott and Brandon Pfieffer, Wade Reed; niece, Jennifer Spencer; several great nieces and nephews. Memorials in Randy's name may be made to either, Craft Memorial United Methodist Church, 907 Hatcher Lane, Columbia, TN 38401, Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 9908 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922, or Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223-7286. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Saturday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel followed by an 11:00 am celebration of Randy's life with Dr. Kenny Faught officiating. The interment will follow at Pleasant Forrest cemetery in Farragut. Online condolences may be made at Randy was a loving husband, a great father, and a tremendous grandfather, he will be missed greatly but we will a celebrate a life well lived.
