LONG, CARL RANSOM (C.R.) - age 93, of Knoxville, passed away 7:10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at his home. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, retired from the Southern Railway System, a US Army veteran of World War II and winner of the Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Long; parents, Charles and Mary Cockreham Long; sister, Dorothy Long Viers; and brother, John Long. Survivors: son, Carl Richard Long; grandchildren, David Scott Long, and Kevin Douglass Long all of Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the

The family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m., Monday, at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Collins officiating.
