IVINS, ROBERT EDWARD (BOBBY) - age 65 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, May 11th with his loving family by his side. Bobby was born December 6th, 1948 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Miami where he received a degree in mathematics and of most importance where he met his devoted wife of 44 years, Jill. Bobby has been a longstanding member of Temple Beth El. Bobby achieved success in all aspects of life. He was most proud of his success as a husband, father and son. Bobby was the consummate entrepreneur who was driven by his ambition to find the next challenge. He was the President of local-based international business, Silver Furniture Company from 1970 to 2007. Bobby had an outstanding career as President of Silver for over 40 years. But in the long run, he measured his success by the opportunities he provided for other people. He was a man of great integrity and compassion. Bobby is proceeded in death by his mother Edith Ivins, Sydney Ivins and sister Jacqueline Bilker and his father-in-law, Carl Silver. Bobby is survived by his loving wife Jill; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Smith Watkins Ivins and their children, Livia and Asher Ivins. Bobby is also survived by his son, Shane Ivins and Trishia Luckenbill; mother-in-law Rissie Tannebaum. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday May 14th at New Jewish Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service with Rabbi Matt Michaels officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 14th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the Ivins's home.
