PEASE, HARRY HOUSTON - age 93 of Loudon, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. Harry was a longtime member of the Loudon United Methodist Church and enjoyed fellow-shipping in the Men's Group. A graduate of Georgia Tech, class of 1943 with a degree in textile engineering, Harry enjoyed a career spanning many years beginning with the Davenport Hosiery Mill of Chattanooga and ending with the Charles H. Bacon and Genesco Mills in Tennessee. As a young man, he was inducted into the US Army during WWII and served during the invasion of the South Pacific and the liberation of the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. Harry was a quiet and humble man who loved his family, sports and the Tennessee Vols. He will be missed terribly by his Monday Morning Breakfast Club friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Pamela Sue Pease; parents, Jim C. and Gertrude (Marshall) Pease; siblings, Charles, Jimmy and Marshall Pease, Susie Rhodes. Survivors include his devoted wife of 66 years, Edna Mae "Major" Pease, Loudon; daughter, Christy and husband, Gary McIntire, San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Katherine and Christopher and several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Services honoring and remembering Harry H. Pease will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22nd, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev. Walt Simmerman officiating.
