WENTZ, STANLEY JAKE - age 74, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his west Knoxville home. Mr. Wentz was a member of Central Baptist Church of Knoxville and was a former member of Fredericksburg Baptist Church in Virginia. Stanley was an avid reader and truly loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three grandchildren, Lillian Lamb, Aster Lamb, and Samuel Lamb; and his parents, Jake and Rose Zimmerman Wentz. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years, Shirley Glass Wentz; daughters, Tori Wentz, LaRaye (Rick) Wentz, Allison Wentz, and Beth (Keith) Lamb all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley) Lowe, Christopher (Ashley) Lowe, Jonah Lamb, Rose Lamb, Joses Lamb, Daisy Lamb, Poppy Lamb, and Richard Wentz; great grandsons, Thomas Lowe, Oscar Lowe, Jasper Lowe, and Christopher Lowe; brothers, Harlan (Shirley) Wentz, Charles (Lola) Wentz; sisters, Sharon (Lynn) Kast, Karen Schultz, and Nancy (Bob) Kelly; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2014, in the chapel of Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel officiated by Dr. Wade Bibb and Reverend Mark Moreland. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tennessee, PO Box 210463, Nashville, Tennessee 37721.
