LYNAS, LENOR KNAPP - age 78, of Farragut, passed away Thursday morning, May 22, 2014 at her home. Lenor was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She loved sewing, working with stain glass, painting, traveling, and her work with the Alaskan Klee Kai Rescue Association. Lenor worked faithfully for 35 years with the Central Intelligence Agency as a Reconnaissance Photography Analyst. Upon retirement from the CIA, she was recruited by ORNL for ten additional years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Theodore Lynas. Lenor is survived by step-sons, Dr. Bryan Lynas and Dr. Christopher Woodward Lynas and their families. She also leaves behind many friends whose lives she had touched greatly. As a testament to her life, the following poem states it clearly: "No longer forward or behind, I look for hope or fear, but grateful take the good I find, the best of now and here". A Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Friday, June 20th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue Association, www.akkrescue.com.
