BREWSTER, ROGER - age 71 of Lenoir City left this life for his eternal home in Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 7, 2014. He was a member and Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Roger was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and awarded the Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge after 29 years of service. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandson. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Joy Brewster; brother, Eddie Brewster; nephew, Bub Brewster; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Red and Ruby Jones. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Toby Jones Brewster; son, Matt Brewster of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Kala and Jason Poole; grandson, Kain all of Lenoir City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddie and Jo Brewster of Lenoir City, David and Becky Brewster of Philadelphia, Don K. and Susan Brewster of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Phyllis Brewster of Loudon; uncle and aunts, Bud and Jean Brewster and Mary Brewster; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Terry and Becky Holder; fishing buddy, Danny Kerley and granddog, Eli. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 10:30 Thursday morning and proceed to Loudon Co.
