SANDERS, JAMES E. - age 85, of Knoxville, passed away on Friday, July 25th, 2014. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden, a long-time member of Fountain City Lions Club, and retired from King Business Forms. He is preceded in death by wife, Anna Booker Sanders; parents, Lola Goolsby and Charles Henry Sanders; and siblings, Charles and Helen Sanders. He is survived by niece, Margaret Bryan; nephews, James Sanders, William Christian Sanders, and Charles P. Sanders, II; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; U.S. Booker, Jr., and wife Mazel, Doyle F. "Joe" Booker and wife Brenda, George Booker, Ruth Booker, Emma Booker, Shirley Shockley, and Charlene Hill and husband Olen "Woody"; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, with funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Highland Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Committal services will immediately follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Whispering Waters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Bible Society, P.O. Box 96812, Washington, D.C. 20090-6812 or on the internet at www.donate.americanbible.org.
