WELLS, JACKSON E. (JACK) - age 87, of Friendsville, passed away 7:45 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at home. He was born August 9, 1926, in Woodbine, Kentucky. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Kentucky Colonel. Jack was the co-owner of the Jerrico Franchise (Jerry's Restaurant) which was located on Kingston Pike in Knoxville and also in Midland Center in Alcoa and formerly owned Countryside Restaurant in Vonore. Jack made an everlasting impression with everyone he ever met. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. "We love you so much." Preceded in death by son, Clyde Lee Wells; grandsons, Cody and Tucker Lee Wells; parents, John F. and Addie Wells; sisters, Irene Nance and Hazel Redman; brothers, Edward, Steely and Lee Wells. Survivors: wife Wanda Wells; daughters, Barbara Kurry, Paulette Wells; sons, Mark, Randy, and John Wells; granddaughters, Breanna and Piper Wells; grandsons, Hayden Wells, Jason Michaelson; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment 4:00 p.m., Saturday, Citico Cemetery, Rev. Robert D. Moore officiating. Family will receive friends 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
