PROSE, JOHN CHARLES (Charlie) - age 60, of Knoxville, passed away unexpectedly July 27, 2014. Charlie was a graduate of Doyle High and received a degree in anthropology from UT. He worked on many Native American digs in the southeast U.S. Charlie was immediately liked by those who met him due to his humor and rare trivia knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. He sadly leaves behind his brother, Jim and wife Cheryl; sister, Sissy Prose McMullen and husband Bruce; along with their daughters and their families, Heather and Travis Deyton and daughter Emory, Anna and Josh Whitehead and daughter Magnolia. Among others who will deeply miss Charlie's kindness and generosity are his devoted friends, Chuck Moore, Donnie Cox, and Randy Webb. A private service is planned.
