BALL, PEGGY FLOWERS - age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at her home. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, the Torchbearer at UT Knoxville in 1960 and the Mountain Madness. She was retired from South-Doyle Middle School in Knox County where she taught sixth graders and middle school age children for forty years. Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Tipton Ball. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Jack L. Ball; daughter and son-in-law, Dana Ball Stanfield Bayiates and Athanasios Bayiates; grandchildren, Shannon Anderson Stanfield (Tate), Jr. and Katherine Celeste Stanfield; brother, Cletus "Bud" Aaron Flowers, Jr.; special nieces, Catherine Louise (Kitty) Creekmore and Evelyn Christine (Kristy) Creekmore-Buttermore; and dear friend, Toto McCuffy. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the main entrance to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service with Reverend Chris Buice of the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, Knoxville officiating.
