HILL, FRANK - age 71, of Defuniak Springs, Florida, formally of Knoxville, entered heaven's gate Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Frank left home at an early age to join the Navy. He later enlisted in the Air Force and retired as a master sargent. He was a Vietnam veteran and a Bronze Star recipient. Frank loved life, playing the guitar, singing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Frank was one of eleven children and eldest son of John and Dorothy Hill, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jerry and Billy Hill; and sister, Penina Owenby. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda of Florida; daughter, Lynne; special step daughter, Kim Miller and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Nicole, Todd, Nevin, and Kaden; one great granddaughter; his loving brothers and sisters, Mamie E. Leonard, Cora Sue Napier, Jim Hill and wife, Denise, John Hill, Kathie Kent and husband, Bob, Darlene Higgins, Betty Jean Golden and husband, Terry; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. We loved him and our hearts are broken. He was a simple man and requested that there be no services. If you would like to honor Frank in some way, his family request that you simply do a random act of kindness for someone.
