LAWLER, GILBERT R. "GIB" - age 72 of Greenback passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Parkwest Medical Center after a short illness. He was a lifelong Christian and active member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Loudon. Gib was employed by O'Reilly Auto Parts in Loudon. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Parkwest Medical Center for their excellent and compassionate support and to the Doctors and Staff of Stat Care Pulmonary Group for their efforts on his behalf. Gib will be remembered for his sense of humor and his servants heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. G. and Gladys Lawler of Amarillo, TX and brother-in-law, Jim Pennington of Oklahoma. Survived by his wife of 24 years, Virginia Lawler; sons, Scott Lawler of San Antonio, TX and Martin Lawler of Phoenix, AZ; stepsons, Brad Garbelman and wife, Susan, Daniel Garbelman and wife, Katie all of Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Nancy Krahl and husband, Scott of Tennessee; grandson, Dillon Lawler; step-grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, and Sarah Krahl, Annie Garbelman and Aaron Cadena; 1 step great grandson, John, and sister, Sharon Pennington of Elk City, OK. A celebration of life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of you choice.
