RUSSELL, GAIL S. - went to heaven on February 17, 2014. She will be remembered as an amazing and strong, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gail was a Christian and loved to sing gospel music. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Russell; mother, Nellie Scarbrough; father, Carl Scarbrough; father-in-law, Bill Russell; mother-in-law, Pauline Russell; brothers, Earl Scarbrough and J.C. Scarbrough. She is survived by sister, Pat Caughorn (Woody); brother, Cotton Scarbrough; sister-in-law, Carol Scarbrough; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Pat Russell; sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Charlotte Russell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Liz and Roger Garren; sister-in-law, Connie Daughtry; children, Cindy Hensley, Kim Cooper (Kenny), David Russell (Metria), Randy Russell; grandchildren, Kimberly Cox (Caleb), Brittney Chrisman (Brandon), Tiffaney Cooper, Stephanie Townsend (Michael), Kenny Cooper, Brett Hensley, Tori Cooper, Raven Russell, C.J. Lauderdale; great grandchildren, Adam Cox, Eliah Chrisman and Cayden Cox; best friend, Mary Ann Sanders; and all her many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Newman, Dr. Callicut and Fort Sanders Dialysis and their staffs for all the care that she received. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Click Funeral Home and Cremations, 9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee. The family will gather for graveside services on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on East Governor John Sevier Highway in Knoxville.
