I was so sorry to read of the death of David Scanlon. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, he sounds like a special man. My husband and I recently moved in to his childhood house and from the pictures, it seems he had many happy years here. We love the house, and your family is welcome anytime.

He graced us with his gentle soul once a week. Mt. LeConte will never be the same without Dave's smiling face greeting us as he walked through the door. His love for the Smokies was a true inspiration. We are all better people for having had him in our lives. He will be truly missed.
