Buddy Landel Obituary
Chilhowie, VA
Buddy Landel, 53, passed away June 22, 2015, at his home in Chilhowie, VA, following a car accident the night before. He was known to the world as "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel. Buddy was the loving son of Fritz H. and Pat Ensor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fritz; and his youngest daughter, Kolby Landel, who passed March 21, 2015. Survived by wife, Donna; daughters, Andrea Osborne and Celeste Robbins (Daniel); grandchildren, Nick and Nathan Osborne, Ethan Landel, Madaline Grace, Porter Robbins, and baby girl, Robbins, expected this October; mother, Pat Ensor; sister, Lou Anne Smith; brother, Greg Ensor (Melanie); special nieces and nephews in Tennessee and Florida.
Buddy was larger than life. He felt blessed to have touched so many lives all over the world. He loved everyone he met. Forever in our hearts, he will always be by our side. Services will be private.

I am so so sorry about Buddy's death. We met at a car lot n Marion where my cousin worked and when he found out I'd taught Celeste, we were instant friends. What his obit said about his being larger than life was so true. He captured a room when he walked in and was one of the nicest people I've ever known!! I'm so sorry too about Kolbi's passing. I had no idea about that. Celeste if you need anything or just need to talk, please call me. I'll be thinking of all of you! 275-206-1752

What a sad time it is for WRESTLING. I first saw Buddy wrestle in the Poffo's ICW Promotion in my hometown of Beckley, WV in the early 80's and I knew he would go far in this crazy business we call Wrestling. I then found him Wrestling for Jim Crockett Promotions out of Charlotte, NC where he had worked his way up to Main Event status feuding with Ric Flair. I saw him again show up in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling out of Morristown, TN and capture the SMW Heavyweight Championship Title. Buddy and I again crossed paths again as I hired him to do commentary for my Mountain State Wrestling TV program which aired in Southern WV over Fox 59 (WVNS TV). One of the highlights of my life was getting to share the commentating duties with Buddy several times. We had a blast!! God brought home another of his children way too soon. My deepest Sympathies to all his Family and Friends.

I didn't know what to think when I first met you. lol You were the most entertaining person I'd met for sure! I DO know you had such a huge heart and loved your family more than anything. I will never forget you driving down so early in the morning to be with us during Ryan's surgery, that meant a lot to me. Thank you. You always made me laugh. You are already missed by so many. I grew up watching Buddy wrestle. I had my picture made with him in Johnsoncity. Tenn. My brother did to. Your family is in our prayers & thoughts.
