We have a lot of fond memories of you Uncle Howard and you will be missed.

Many fond memories of times spent with my cousin, Howard, on the Martin homestead/farm in Monroeville. I recently found a picture of Howard and me as teenagers having a sword fight with four foot long icicles. Oh the fun times we had together! In later years, we enjoyed listening to Howard playing the drums and our visits to Ball Lake.

We were unable to attend the services but our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.

To Howard's family, we wish to send our condolences. We knew Howard for a long time and have many happy memories. He wired our first lake cottage years ago, was our neighbor on Allendale in the late 50's and early 60's, and played music at several of our children's weddings. Love and prayers to his entire family, Janet and Don Ahlersmeyer

Uncle Howard, you will be missed by many! My favorite memory of you is of you playing the drums to "Wipe Out" as we danced! Those were fun times!

We are spending a couple months in AL and have read about Howard's death. Memories of he past: babysitting with Danny (always was a good boy), Charlotte babysat our son Don; we had hopes that Cassie and Don would pair up some day! Unfortunately that didn't happen! Our synmpathy goes to you all!

We were sorry to learn of Howard's passing. We have fond memories of Howard from our time at Ball Lake. He was a real original. Example: a really big tree fell into the lake from someplace else and drifted into our beach. We were wondering how we'd ever manage to dispose of it when Howard came by and asked if he could have it! What for? we asked. For a totem pole in front of my cottage, he said. And so it was; that totem pole stood marking the Freygang property for years. Our sympathy goes to his wonderful children; just know he will be missed.
