ANGOLA — Pearl A. Boocher, age 83 , of Angola, Indiana and formerly of Orland, Ind., and Colon, Mich., passed away Thursday June 12, 2014, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital of Angola, Indiana.
She was born October 7, 1930 in Chicago, Ill., to Roscoe and Anna (Kowalski) Bailey. They preceded her in death. She married Lewis Elmer Boocher on April 3, 1948, at Angola, Indiana, and he preceded in death on January 7, 2008.
She worked at Kirsch Company of Sturgis, Michigan, for 39 years.
Mrs. Boocher was a member of Assembly of God of Angola, and the New Life Assembly of God of Colon, Mich.
She enjoyed crocheting, cards (euchre), family time and church, and crocheting blankets for the nursing centers.
Survivors include three daughters, Anna ONeal of Bronson, Mich., Luanne and Howard Beekman of Coldwater, Mich., and Rosemary and Richard Dowidat of Angola, Ind.; two sons, Michael Louis and Connie Boocher of Orland, Ind., and Chuck and Linda Boocher Sr. of Orland, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles I. Bailey of Pasadena, Calif.; and a half sister, Nancy Kain of Auburn, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son-in-law, Ivan ONeal.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Ind., with Pastor Ronald Moore officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Ind.
Memorials are to the Assembly of God of Angola, Ind., and Oralnd American Legion Post 423.
