ANGOLA — Wava L. Collins, 90, of Angola died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Cameron Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Collins retired Jan. 3 1986, after 17 years from Ball Brass and Aluminum Foundry in Auburn.
She was a 1941 graduate of Auburn High School.
Mrs. Collins was a former member of the Waterloo VFW. She was a member of Auburn American Legion Post 97 and Royal Neighbors of America for more than 65 years.
She was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Richland Township in DeKalb County to Lawrence and Hilda Lavon (Delong) Carper. She married Hagan E. Collins on Aug. 13, 1955, in Angola and he died March 20, 1995.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Dennis Earl Collins of Auburn, Terry Lee Collins of Angola and Tammy Jo Crosby of Auburn; a brother, Larry Carper of Arleta, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Delores Shull.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to the DeKalb County Heart Association.
