FORT WAYNE — Marvin D. Geeting, 82, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne.

Born in Waterloo, he worked at the Fort Wayne Foundry and States Engineering Corp. before owning Chama Corp. for 10 years, and finally working for Bledsoe Welding before retiring.
He was an assistant scout master for the Boy Scouts for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Geeting of Fort Wayne; children, Bruce Geeting of Noblesville, Brian (Diane) Geeting, Cathea (Walter) Langley both of Fort Wayne, Ginger (Daniel) Lawrence of Huntertown; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by parents Edison and Flossie Geeting Sr., first wife Charlotte Geeting, son Gregg Geeting and brothers Edison Geeting Jr., and Donald Geeting.
Calling will be today from 5-8 p.m.at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. A private family funeral will take place. Burial will be in Fairfield Center Cemetery, Corunna.
