FORT WAYNE — Vida F. Cook, 94, of Fort Wayne died Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

Mrs. Cook had retired from Lincoln Life Insurance Co. in 1985.
She was born on May 29, 1920, in Argos to Willard and Fern McGriff
Surviving are her children, Mary Ann (Roger) Cook of Angola and Edwin J. (Joyce) Cook of Monticello, Ky.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William R. Cook; three sisters, Genevieve Warren, Clara McGriff and Liela Rose (Ray) Johnson; and five brothers, Harold, Eugene, and Gerald McGriff, Dwight Luty and George Ray.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
Memorials are to A Hope Center, or Woodburn Children's Home.
