HICKSVILLE, Ohio — Judith E "Judy" VanZile Baker Brandeberry, 76, passed away Tuesday June 17, 2014 in Hicksville, Ohio.

She was born March 29, 1938, in Butler. Her parents have passed away. Her father was Cecil D. VanZile and her mother and stepfather were Doris and Kenneth Dorsey. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Tom VanZile, and her husband Fredrick "Fritz" Brandeberry, whom she married in Hicksville in 1998 and he died in 2007.
Judy worked as a clerk in Latell's Dress Shop in Auburn, retiring in 1978.
She was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Waterloo and was a former Waterloo VFW Auxiliary member.
Surviving are a son and 3 daughters, Larry Kim Baker of Harmony, North Carolina, Deborah (Ken) Bunn of Hicksville, Ohio, Lori Slentz of Auburn and Jill Baker of Auburn; 11 grandchildren, Courtney Deluceney, Melissa (Travis) Phillips, Leslie (Joe) Davis, Lisa (Scott) Hamman, Tyler Schortgen, Lincoln Slentz, Kerry Baker, Kyle (Sandy) Baker, Justin Baker, Paxton Baker, Sydney Baker; 15 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Phinehas and Brogan Phillips, Siler, Deacon and Wyatt Bell, Luke and Emily Davis, Riley and Jordan Hamman, Jaeded and MiKayla Schortgen, Mason, Sean and Austin Baker; and 2 brothers, Gary (Leona) VanZile of Butler and Dennis (Linda) VanZile of Auburn.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Rev. Ralph Diehl officiating.
Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.
Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Defiance County Hospice.
