FORT WAYNE — Richard Cripe, 70, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, in Fort Wayne.
Born in Columbia City, Ind., Richard worked along with his wife as owners of Walker's Restaurant in Wolf Lake for 26 years. Prior to the restaurant, Richard worked with Swim Pools Inc. of Fort Wayne.
Richard served as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 243 of Ligonier.
Surviving are his wife, Lois "Jeanie" Cripe of Fort Wayne; a son, Greg (Angie) Cripe of Churubusco, Ind.; two stepgrandchildren, Lexy and Natalie; and a brother, Terry (Sally) Cripe of North Webster, Ind.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Gladys Cripe; a sister, Connie Smith; and a brother, Butch Cripe. Service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior.
Calling also Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the CTN Transportation or the Disabled Veterans Foundation.
