Phyllis Schoup Obituary
She was born April 10, 1931, in Kendallville, Indiana, a daughter to the late Roy and Alice (Ford) Wentworth.
On April 20, 1950, in Kendallville, Indiana, she married Loyal J. Schoup. He preceded her in death July 30, 1985.
Phyllis had been employed at Sturgis Newport Business Forms from 1957 to 1970.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, and was proud of her flower garden.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia (Larry) Wolf of Auburn, Indiana, and Connie (Jack) Krontz of Ft. Myers, Florida; five grandchildren: Julie (Kevin) Yoder of Butler, Indiana, Jennifer (Cory) Hull of Fremont, Indiana, Curtis Polly Jr. of Sturgis, Michigan, Kirsten Polly of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Casey Krontz of Ft. Myers, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua Yoder, Jared Yoder, MaKayla Hull, Jacob Hull, Curtis Polly III, Mayson Polly, Lucas Malcolm and Benjamin Krontz; a stepson, Richard Schoup of Kendallville, Indiana; step-grandchildren, Laura Schoup and Patrick Schoup; two sisters, Lavonne Forbes and Linda Wentworth; and three brothers, Charles Wentworth, Ray Wentworth and Richard Wentworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marjorie Rouch; and two brothers, Gerald Wentworth and Roy Wentworth.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. Monday at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
Services celebrating the life of Phyllis I. Schoup will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Rodger Moyer, Sturgis Evangelical Church, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
The family suggest memorial donations be directed to Hospice of Sturgis. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
