Raymond Zell Obituary

HUNTERTOWN — Raymond Lee Zell, 73, of Huntertown died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Donald and Lilly (Haire) Zell.
He served in the Army and was a welder at Dana Corp.
Surviving are his wife, Mary L. (York) Zell of Huntertown; a son, Chris (Alisa) Zell of Indianapolis; three daughters, Dawn (Dave) Zell Ahumada of Kendallville, Julie (Larry) Baughmen of Larwill and Mickey (Andrew) Davis Fought of Kendallville; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Chuck Zell; and a sister, Shirley Bobay.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
Visitation also will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Mary and family,
Sorry to hear the news of Raymond's passing. Ray was one month older than me and I have many memories of playing together when we were children. My sympathy and prayers are with you all. I know it's hard to lose someone close. I hope time will heal some of the pain of your loss.
