Scott Leonard Aaron(1954-2012)

Scott Leonard Aaron, born September 28, 1954, got on his horse and rode off into the sunset one last time on May 7, 2012, from the ranch he was managing in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Our dear friend and beloved Scott leaves his family and his many, many friends to raise a glass in his honor around their campfires.

Scott is the son of Arthur Aaron and Joan Aplet Aaron Scott, both of Yakima and now deceased, brother to Andy Aaron of Alamo, Ca, and dad to his beloved son, Andrew John Aaron of Nashville, Tennessee. The family ranched in Moxee for many years. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1972 and served in JAG division of the Army based in Heidleberg, Germany during the Vietnam War.

After a short time in his own business, at the age of 28 he took over the helm of the Pasco and Southeastern WA asphalt paving company Transtate Asphalt, part of the Superior group. Scott was the protege of the distinguished leader in the asphalt paving industry Mr. Brian Sims for 25 years and rose to take the position of Vice President of Operations. Scott taught many others who continue to refer to Scott's ways in business today and for many days into the future.

But his truest calling was the ranch life. Trail riding, campfires, cattle raising and everything that goes along with the cowboy way of life is what coursed through his veins. And he sang a very convincing "Big John".......

He is the stuff legends are made of. Anyone who ever met Scott will never forget his bigger than life personality, and everyone has a story to tell.
Please join us in raising a glass and telling a story on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 4:00p at the clubhouse at the West Richland Golf Course, 4000 Fallon Drive, West Richland for BBQ and no-host bar.
