Bobby Gene Hardin, 71, of Cox's Creek, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Baptist Health in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, he was born Oct. 22, 1942, to the late Randall and Nannie Katherine Lewis Hardin.
He was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church and a retired employee of the Fischer Packing Company of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Mae Milburn Hardin, on Dec. 8, 2011; a son, Ronald Gene Hardin on March 10, 2008, and his parents, Randall Hardin in 1991 and his mother, Nannie Katherine Lewis Hardin in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Hardin and his wife, Suzanne, of Cox's Creek, and Charles Hardin and his wife, Jenny, of Cox's Creek; a daughter, Fredia Lewis, and her husband, Chris, of Mackville; five grandchildren, Tyler Hardin, Alisha Hardin, Zachary Hardin, Ashley Lewis and Adam Lewis; a brother, Prentice Hardin, of Cox's Creek; and four sisters, Aline Grider, of Cox's Creek, Rita Perkins, of Bardstown, Judy Hardin, of Willisburg, and Brenda Weakley, of Willisburg.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Free Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Frank Foster, the interim pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in High View Cemetery in Chaplin.
Pallbearers will be Terry Hardin, Charles Hardin, Tyler Hardin, Chris Lewis, Ritchie Sims and Timothy Marple.
