Charles A "Slick" Robinson, 79, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at his residence. He was the owner of Western Auto in Bloomfield, worked at General Electric, Bird and Son and was a farmer all his life and was of the Christian faith and an Army
veteran. He loved his family, horses and his sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B and Louise Stewart Robinson; a sister, Ruby Armstrong; an infant son, Allen Robinson; and a very special uncle, Bob Stewart.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dorothy Williams Robinson; a son, Stuart Wayne Robinson and Theresa Robinson, of Bardstown; a daughter Cathy Clark Enlow, of Boston; four grandchildren Shelby and Caleb Enlow, Matt Robinson and Chris Wimsatt; three sisters, Shelby Anderson, of Bardstown, and Dorothy Kidwell and Connie Bland, of Louisville; and a brother, Bob (Vicki) Robinson, of Bloomfield. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in Poplar Flat Cemetery. Brother Bill Greer will officiate.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, and after 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home.
