Edward Ernest Fowler(1924 - 2013)

Edward Ernest Fowler, 88, formerly of Bardstown, died Monday, May 13, 2013, in Lansdale, Penn. He was born Nov. 19, 1924, in Denver. He retired from Burroughs Corporation in 1989 and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a member of Bardstown United Methodist Church, an active member and Past Master of the Duvall Lodge No. 6, Free and Accepted Masons of Bardstown, a member of My Old Kentucky Home Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 436 and served twice as Worthy Patron.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Vescovi Fowler, who passed away in 1999; his parents, Otis Ernest Fowler and Mathilda Botzenhart Fowler Noregard; and his sister, Helen Fowler Kull.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane Fowler Harper, wife of Richard P. Harper, of Louisville, Co., Amelia "Amy" Pauline Fowler Hogan, wife of Jay V. Minnucci, of East Greenville, Pa., and Helen Christine Fowler Shissler, wife of Wallace "Mike" Shissler, of Willow Grove, Pa.; a son, Matthew Ernest Fowler, married to Alma Halilcevic Fowler, of Manheim, Germany; his brother-in-law, Albert "Bud" Kull, of Thornton, Colo.; six grandchildren, Sarah Beth Solis, married to Moez Solis, of Oakland, Calif., Jesse Andrew Harper, of Baltimore, Alison Marie Serianni, married to Jeremy Danley, of Harleysville, Pa., Jessica Louise Shissler, of Langhorne, Pa., Rebecca Christine Shissler, of Willow Grove, Pa., Mia Nicole Fowler, of Manheim, Germany, and two great-grandchildren, Dureau Violet Solis and Ashraf Bowie Solis, both of Oakland, Calif.
A memorial remembrance service will be at p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, beginning with a Masonic service at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bardstown Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the funeral home.
