J. W. Phillips(1931 - 2014)

J.W. Phillips, 82, of Bardstown, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, he was born June 15, 1931, to the late Hugh and Nora Miller Phillips.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, attended Texas School, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a former employee of the Stockyard Farm and Dairy Supply Company of Louisville was the former owner of a Dairy Supply Company in Glasgow and an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Mae Clark Phillips; three sisters, Daisy (Johnny) Coulter, of Mount Washington, Dorothy (Don) Tarter, of Shepherdsville, and Judy (John) O'Keefe, of Florida; six brothers, Floyd (Geraldine) Phillips, Kendall Phillips and Walton (Mary) Phillips, all of Louisville, Harold (Sue) Phillips, of Florida, High Allen (Becky) Phillips, of Mount Washington and Connie Lane (Peggy) Phillips, of Salvisa; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with burial in Peter Cemetery at Mackville where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. The Rev. Nelson Reynolds, pastor of the Deep Creek Baptist Church, will officiate.
