Marion Howard Nichols, Jr., 41, of Bardstown, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his residence.
He was a native of Nelson County and a former truck driver and mechanic with Trade Winds Transit Inc. in Bardstown.
Survivors include his parents, Marion "Nick" and Ann Gardner Nichols, of Holy Cross; a daughter, Kelsey Ann Nichols, at home, two sisters, Rachel (Mark) Pettit, of Bardstown, and Lynn Cederquist, of New Haven; and two brothers, David Nichols, of Holy Cross, and Daren Nichols, of Lebanon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 N. St. Francis Road in Loretto, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Troy Overton will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by the Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Todd Gardner, Mark Gardner, Allen Metcalf, Paul Gardner, Brandon Gardner and Brandon Bartley. Mattingly Funeral Home
