Peter V. Bowen, 68, of Anchorage, Ky., died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at his home.
Peter was known to many as the owner of Bullfrog Creek the Fishing Store. He spent 26 happy years at his store, dispensing advice, telling tales and selling fishing tackle.
Peter was a U.S. Army
Vietnam Veteran and a graduate of the University of Louisville.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Nancy; a son, Jason (Joseph); a daughter, Amy; a granddaughter, Mary Jane; a brother, David (Tari); a sister-in-law, Becky Miller; and a brother-in-law, Bill Arnold (Mary Anne). He will be missed by all.
A graveside service is at noon Monday at the Pavilion at Cave Hill Cemetery, 701 Baxter Ave., in Louisville. All those wishing to attend should meet at the Broadway Gate at 11:45 a.m. Monday.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Fresenius Dialysis Center on Chamberlain Lane for the wonderful care shown to Peter.
