Theresa Marie (Boone) Hargadon(1918 - 2014)

Theresa Marie Boone Lagerstrom Hargadon, 95, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away quietly Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, with family at her side in Louisville. She was born to the late Susan Mattingly Boone and James Franklin Boone on Sept. 21, 1918, in Howardstown.
She traveled the world with her nine children and late husband, Leander A. "Butch" Lagerstrom during his U.S. army service. She also visited Europe and met the pope with her second husband, the late James Hargadon. A devoted mother to each of her children and strong in her Catholic faith she touched the lives of family and friends throughout her life. She served as a eucharistic minister in her church, and volunteered at the Germantown Library and at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Her loving and giving spirit will be deeply missed by each of her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her 10 siblings, Catherine Wine, John Boone, Louis Boone, Agnes Boone, the Rev. Charles Lawrence Boone, Delime Boone, Anthony Boone, Margaret Mary Hicks, James Boone Jr., Adolph Boone, and her husbands, Leander A. "Butch" Lagerstrom and James Hargadon; and a son, Lee "Butch Jr" Lagerstrom.
Survivors include eight children, Judy Lagerstrom Schaub, Susan Lagerstrom Sullivan, Charles "Ed" Lagerstrom, Mark E. Lagerstrom, Rex P. Lagerstrom, M.D., Cindy K. Lagerstrom, Maria Lagerstrom and Annie Lagerstrom; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to St. Brigid's Catholic Church Building Fund, Memphis Tenn.
No services will be held at the funeral home.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday Feb. 15, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Howardstown with burial in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will take place before Mass at 9 a.m.
