Joe Bailey, 59, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at VA Hospital in Louisville. He was born Nov. 17, 1953, in Bardstown, a self-employed wrestling promoter, an Army veteran with two tours in Korea during the Vietnam Era, a U of L fan and a member of Lion of Judah.

He was preceded in death by a son, J.C. Bailey; his parents, Junior and Mary Bailey; a brother, Pat Bailey; and a sister, Debbie Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Johnson Bailey, of Bardstown; a daughter, Kim Ball, of Bardstown; two sons, Joseph Bailey, of Madison, Ind. and Michael Watts, of Bardstown; three granddaughters, Madison Ball, Evan Bailey and Kalynn Watts; two brothers, David Bailey, of Bardstown and Phillip Bailey, of Louisville; two sisters, Lisa (Ricky) Jewell and Carol (Tommy) Greenwell, both of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pastor Teresa Rakes will be officiating.
Visitation will be 3- 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Barlow Funeral Home.
