Benita Blandford, 68, of Nazareth, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at her residence. She was born March 25, 1949, in Bardstown. She was an employee for Windsor Gardens, and a former employee for St. Joseph Elementary, Bethlehem High School and Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma Smith; a brother, Pat Smith; a sister, Mildred Ball; and father of her children, Ronnie Blandford.
She is survived by her three children, Felicia (Steve) Wilkerson, of Louisville, Tony Blandford, of Bardstown, and Amber (Shawn) Drake, of Mount Washington; five grandchildren, Jordan Ball, Harrison Rogers, A.J. Blandford, Aidan Blandford and Bella Blandford; two sisters, Sister Louise Smith, of Nazareth, and Rita Rapier, of North Carolina; a brother, Jodie Smith, of Nazareth; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with inurnment in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiate.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go to donor's favorite charity.
