Curtis Caudill, 66, of Cox's Creek, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 30, 1951, in Whitesburg, to the late David and Mary Fields Caudill. Curtis was an employee at the University of Louisville Hospital, a member of Redeemer Fellowship Church, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 6 and My Old Kentucky Home Eastern Star Lodge No. 436.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joey and Roger Caudill; and a sister, Greta Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debby Smith Caudill; three daughters, Venus (Jeff) Downs, of Bardstown, Kimberly (Tom) Wethington and Tena Jo Hutchins, both of Cox's Creek; two sisters, Anna Jo Cox, of Mount Washington, Tena (Jim) Cunningham, of Fern Creek; one brother, Gomer (Jerry) Caudill, of Louisville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Brother Mike Lanway officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, with a 7 p.m. Order of the Eastern Star service and additional visitation after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The , Hospice of Nelson County or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
