Howard Ray Young Jr., 62, of Navarre, Fla., died Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Orlando, Fla. He was born Dec. 16, 1950, in Bardstown, was a foreman for Holley Navarre Water Company, a Vietnam Veteran with the Coast Guard, a member of (B.A.C.A.) Bikers Against Child Abuse, American Legion Post 382, and former member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Bret Young; his parents, Howard and Iva Young; a sister, Barbara Greenwell; and two brothers, Ed and Michael Young.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Young; two sons, Eric (Jennifer) Young, of Bardstown, and Howard "Possum" (Tina) Young III, of Andover, Ohio; three stepchildren, Belinda (Mike Lynch) Ernst, of Navarre, Fla., Jeff (Stephanie) Ernst, of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Danielle Ernst, of Navarre, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one expecting; mother of his children, Lee Ann Johnson, of Ashtabula, Ohio; two sisters, Judy Spalding and Jenny Boone; a brother, Earl Ray Young, all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in The First Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
