Larry Kenneth Thompson, 49, Bardstown, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in the emergency room at Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown. A native of Washington County, he was born June 19, 1962. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a 1980 graduate of Washington County High School, attended Elizabethtown Community College and was an employee of the former Intertec Systems in Bardstown. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Thompson, Jan. 18, 1980. Survivors include three daughters, Jessica Thompson, Sarah Thompson and Jasmine Thompson, all of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Jamieyah Thompson and Stephon Graves; his mother, Montry Thompson, Springfield; four brothers, David (Joyce) Thompson, Lebanon, Shively (Denise) Thompson, Lexington, Preston Thompson, Versailles, and Ron Lee Thompson, Campbellsville; and five sisters, Cass Stella (Clarence) Sickles, Fayetta (David Porter) Thompson and Missy (Lonnie Moore) Thompson, all of Lebanon, JoAnn Thompson, Louisville and Kathleen (J.D.) Strode, Lexington. The funeral was 1 p.m., Monday at First Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Windrell Hunn Jr., the church pastor, officiated. Pallbearers were Wayne Sickles, Joshua Thompson, Joseph Thornton Jr., Tyron Sickles, Daylon Moore, Jeremy Strode, Brandon Oldham, David Thompson Jr. and Jaylin Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Thompson, Terry Thompson, Donald Thompson and Steve Thompson. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
