Mae Bernice Luttrell Emerson, 87, Somerset, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born March 17, 1925 in Casey County. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Emerson, who died on Feb. 19, 1994, her parents, James Oscar and Dollie Mae Delk Luttrell; eight brothers, Beecher Luttrell, Elmer Luttrell, Avert Luttrell, Floyd Luttrell, Wilbur Luttrell, Harding Luttrell, Roscoe Lutrell and R.C. Lutrell, who passed at infancy; and six sisters, Bertha Childers, Ruby Dunn, Ersiee Cooper, Clara Turner, Edna Potts and Sadie Flint. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Peterson, Somerset, and Peggy Sharpe, Bardstown; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; two brothers, Argil Luttrell, Windsor, Ronald Luttrell, Pomona, Calif.; a sister, Zimmer Walden, Champagne, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with burial in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Brother John Baxter will officiate. Visitation is 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
